PMS (= Premenstrual Syndromes) affects more than 75% of all menstruating women. It usually occurs in the luteal phase of the menstruation cycle - hormones are being released from the ovaries to signal that the body is not expecting a pregnancy. Unfortunately, this can cause over 300 symptoms, that vary from women to women. Therefore, it was not possible yet to find one suitable remedy for everyone.
We want to build a community that talks more openly about PMS, inspires females, and eventually makes them feel empowered. We want to go on a self-love journey with our customers to reduce PMS in the long term and prevent mental health issues such as PMDD.
An inspiration we are offering is the success stories of the founders of the products in our box, as we are making sure that La Box mainly contains products from female-led companies. By doing this, we want to highlight the gap of females in entrepreneurship and motivate girls and women to do whatever they want.
The drivers behind La Box are Chichi, a Balkan diaspora kid that grew up in Vienna, Austria. She holds several degrees in the field of marketing, did some traditional marketing in the finance industry until she decided to go digital, where she learned the right digital marketing strategies. Her goal is to build a common ground for where women should be in the future and change the social norms of society.
And we also have Verica, the girl that speaks all Slavic languages. She studied management of organization, human resource and knowledge, so it came naturally to her to start her own NGO that enables ambitious young females to be actively involved in their community. She strives for being heard and understood and overall she wants to have a positive impact on her environment.
